Romans 8:5-6
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.


I stumbled upon this verse when I read through my notes today as I was sitting and waiting for munn to come pick me up. Uncle Kevin shared this with us during a devotion quite some time back. But it struck me as much as it did when I first heard it.


Truly, those who live by the flesh will have their minds on earthly things, searching for a love that is self seeking. Even if you had anything in you wanted in this world, nothing would never be enough; BUT, Those who live by the Spirit will set their minds on the Spirit. Love would mean so much more than what can be found in today's dictionary. It would mean giving, it would mean serving sacrificially. It would be taken up to a whole new level. We would chase for more of Him, and less of us. Can we honestly say that we carry God's Spirit in our everyday life?
